The Mitsubishi Rayon Group offer one of the most diverse carbon fiber product ranges on the market today. Our carbon fibers are available in filament counts ranging from 3K to 60K with moduli between 34 Msi (235 GPa) and 65 Msi (450 GPa).

The Grafil range of standard modulus fibers are manufactured in Sacramento, California and are available in 12, 24, 30 and 48K tow sizes. They can be supplied in either round tow or flat tow formats. The flat tow (designated by WD in the fiber type) is the ideal fiber to use in applications where spreading is required, e.g. UD tape production. Using our proprietary winding technology we produce a tow of consistent width with extremely low levels of false twist. The round tow is perfect for applications where spreading is not necessarily required e.g. braiding or pultrusion.

The extensive range of Pyrofil standard, intermediate and high modulus products are available in filament counts of 3, 6, 12, 15 and 18k products are manufactured in Toyohashi, Japan while the 60K product is being produced at Mitsubishi Rayon Group's production center in Otake, Japan.
